Hello, I am George Duffy, I am 22 years old. I am a Media Production student at Bournemouth University, but I am currently studying at the University of Central Florida for one semester.

I love films, always have and almost certainly always will. A few of my Favourites are ‘There will be blood’ (Anderson, 2007), In Bruges (McDonagh, 2008), Stand by me  (Reiner, 1986), The Prestige  (Nolan, 2006) and many more.

This blog is going to be about the overlooked movies, not necessarily cult movies. But movies which initially went by without much fan fare and deserve to be reevaluated or just generally given more love.

I hate spoilers always have and always will, so as such I will try my absolute hardest not to spoil anything. I will not be breaking down the movie point by point. Instead I will be giving you a taster of the film so you can enjoy the movie without knowing every plot point coming up. If you want to get in touch to discuss the movie further, I am more than happy to reply.

I am keen to hear from you and would love suggestions on what you would like to see on the website. It is still a working progress.

Other things about me

A few quotes I like:

“There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don’t know we don’t know. Lastly there are unknown knowns things that you think you know, but that it turns out you did not.”Donald Rumsfeld in ‘The Unknown Known’ (Morris, 2013)

“All generalisations are false. Including this one”. Donald Rumsfeld in ‘The Unknown Known’ (Morris, 2013)

“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” Tyrion Lannister to Jon Snow in ‘A Game of Thrones’ (Martin, 1996)
